Woodvale SUPA IGA was established in 1989 to serve the growing needs of Woodvale's residents. The store initially traded as a BI-LO store and then as Dewsons Woodvale. Following the purchase of FAL by Metcash, the store converted to Woodvale Supa IGA in 2006.
The current owners, Angelo and Lee Araujo acquired the store in December 2004. The store has changed in its appearance over the years, but one thing has remained constant – the quest to provide our customers with a superior shopping experience. To this end, we continue to stress to our employees the importance of treating our customers as guests.
We also aim to ensure that our customers have a wide variety of choice and are guaranteed freshness and quality – all at competitive prices. Because of our strong community ethic, we know many of our customers by name and support many local schools, clubs, churches and charities whenever possible. In these tough times, Woodvale SUPA IGA will continue to be your local heroes. Remember we answer to our customers not any shareholders.
